Jim Miller Vs. Mark Bocek UFC

UFC 110 pitted heavyweights Cain Velasquez and Antonio Nogueira in the main event in Sydney, Australian for a potential elimination bout to fight UFC Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar in the first fight of the UFC down under. Also on the card, potentially Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic's last bout as an MMA fighter and an interesting bout between Michael Bisping and Pride legend Wanderlei Silva.

Anthony Perosh vs Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic had little trouble with Anthony Perosh and the fight was over shortly after the opening bell. The only problem was the fight went much longer than the opening bell. The question for UFC President Dana White, how much longer is Cro Cop going to be forced down the public's throat? He fights with no enthusiasm and has become a joke in MMA. Filipovic won the fight but if he would have fought anyone with talent the result would have been much different. Filipovic wins after Perosh can't continue due to a cut.

Keith Jardine +120 vs Ryan Bader -140.
Keith Jardine is another fighter UFC President Dana White keeps trying to push off on the public as a "contender." To be fair Jardine had a fighters chance and did present a challenge to Ryan Bader. The ultimate result was the same as Bader hammered Jardine into the side of the octagon and knocked Jardine senseless. The funniest part of the fight was Jardine being enraged that the fight was stopped. Bader wins by knockout.

George Sotiropoulos +200 vs Joe "Big Daddy" Stevenson -240.
The Australian born George Sotiropoulos is finding out just how popular the UFC has become in his home country. UFC 110 has been sold out well in advance of Saturday's big night in Sydney. Sotiropoulos was impressive as a 2-1 underdog, taking the fight to Stevenson as both put on a brilliant display of jui jitsu.

Stevenson coming off of wins against Kenny Florian and Spencer Fischer, two solid UFC opponents and fighting Sotiropoulos on his home turf was still an over 2-1 favorite. Sotiropoulos was on the verge of submitting Stevenson several times throughout the match. The fight was the fight of the night no matter what UFC President Dana White or the UFC officials decided. Sotiropoulos won by decision.

Michael Bisping +130 vs Wanderlei Silva -150.
Going into this fight both UFC stars have fallen on hard times lately and Wanderlei Silva's back was against the wall. Silva had five losses in seven fights. Michael Bisping's two losses were dealt by Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans and entering this UFC bout, Bisping was looking to prove he could beat a legitimate opponent.

Bisping didn't fare well in the fight as Silva just missed choking out Bisping at the end of the second round and at the end of the fight Silva mounted his patented last 10 second attack and knocked Bisping down and almost out, as Bisping was saved by the bell. Silva wins by decision.

Cain Velasquez -105 vs Antonio Nogueira -115.
This fight was Cain Velasquez biggest challenge in his UFC career and his underdog status confirmed it. Antonio Nogueira hadn't fought since UFC 102 and his defeat of Randy Couture. Velasquez, out to prove that he does belong among the elite UFC Heavyweights was prepared to stand up against Nogueira and he did.

The fight ended with a spectacular knockout administered by Velasquez, midway through the first round. Both fighters landed punches at the same time but Velasquez punch knocked Nogueira to the canvas and Velasquez finished him with a series of five more punches for good measure. Velasques wins by knockout and knockout of the night.

Chris Lytle -160 vs Brian Foster +140.
UFC veteran Chris Lytle pulled the submission of the night with an old school move on Brian Foster. Lytle caught Foster off guard and latched onto his leg and won by a knee bar submission. Foster could not walk out of the ring under his own power after fight.
